This bronze sculpture depicts the Buddha seated in the meditation posture, with both hands resting one upon the other in his lap, palms facing upward, and the legs crossed. The figure is supported by a stepped architectural pedestal composed of multiple recessed tiers.

The face displays the refined aesthetic characteristics of the Ayutthaya period with half-closed eyes beneath gently drooping eyelids framed by gracefully arched eyebrows, a straight nose with well-defined nostrils, and a subtle, serene smile. The hair is rendered in tightly arranged "peppercorn" curls, surmounted by an ushnisha crowned with a particularly tall and slender flame finial.

The Buddha is dressed in the monastic robe, leaving the right shoulder bare, while the robe falls gracefully across the torso, extending to the level of the navel.

Condition and Patina:
The sculpture remains in an authentic state of preservation, bearing the marks of age and devotional use. The proper right ear is partially broken at the earlobe. The surface exhibits minor abrasions, small chips, and areas of old mechanical wear, particularly along the base and the edges of the drapery folds.

The piece displays an exceptional aged patina, reflecting natural burial deposits and pronounced mineralization. The reverse is characterized by extensive areas of reddish-brown cuprite (copper oxide) emerging through the surface, interspersed with dark patinated areas and light green copper carbonate encrustations. The front retains a smoother brown surface with traces of green mineralization and accumulated sediment within the recesses of the pedestal and robe. The hollow base reveals the original casting core within.
